About

You know the saying “It takes a whole village to raise a child”, well it is an ideal vision. Every person should or could be a mentor to someone younger. In using many resources for prevention of dysfunctional behaviors. I try to draw in as many actors, drama teachers, now equine therapy methods to try and reach our youth. I know that I'm not alone in my desire for a better place for our youth and elderly. And that it will take a lot of work on all our parts but with the Creators help we will succeed. Art is defined as a life skill that needs to be use daily. You use art to beautify your life and to build a closer connection to our Creator.

“Muriel has a deep commitment to passing on Lakota traditions, culture, and lifeways through her work in the arts. She also has an abiding desire to strengthen and build the community through her work. Muriel focuses on the community where she lives and works, but she encourages others to participate, borrow, experiment, and adapt her ideas and activities for use in their own communities. Muriel believes firmly in brightening the corner where she lives.” – Jeffrey Kellogg, Nominator
