PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR NATIVE ARTISTS AND ORGANIZATIONS.

First Peoples Fund offers offers professional development training programs for emerging and seasoned artists, and the nonprofit organizations and Native Community Development Financial Institutions who can partner with them in realizing their personal and professional dreams.

Get training for yourself and your staff—or offer a training program for your community. Through our Professional Development Training Programs, help others achieve their transformational potential, build capacity alongside other community members, and position artists for business success. When artists thrive, so do communities.

First Peoples Fund offers two training programs:

NATIVE ARTIST PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS

These two-day trainings give artists real-world tools and detailed resources to navigate the arts industry and become successful entrepreneurs. The training is intended for emerging and seasoned artists alike.

COMMUNITY-BASED CERTIFICATIONS

We offer trainings for seasoned artists and staff at Native Community Development Financial Institutes and nonprofits wishing to build capacity locally for ongoing community training and development. Participants who go through the three-day session are prepared to conduct Native Artist Professional Development Trainings in their own communities.

Our training programs give Native artists the tools and support they need to manage entrepreneurial businesses in order to achieve economic success and grow as leaders in their tribal communities. Our curriculum begins by helping artists express their own vision and Indigenous values, including generosity, wisdom, respect, integrity, strength, fortitude and humility. These ultimately become the foundation of their businesses.
