Becky joined First Peoples Fund in 2017. Her prior experience includes ten years in grant and program management, first as a program officer for The McKnight Foundation in Minneapolis, and more recently as the program and operations manager at the Black Hills Area Community Foundation. Earlier in her career, Becky worked for several nonprofits dedicated to international development, including spending three years as development and volunteer director at a small college in rural Bolivia. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Carmen Pampa Fund, a nonprofit supporting this Bolivian college.

Becky was born and raised on a cattle ranch near Isabel, South Dakota. She received her bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Catherine University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Becky and her family have lived in Rapid City since 2015.
