Oglala Lakota Art Space
The OLA Winter Solstice Celebration is a community-centered event that brings together Lakota cultural foundations, seasonal practices and knowledge, and creative engagement. The event features live music, art activities, food, and cultural & creative presentations. The event is free and open to the public to celebrate art, culture, and community at the Oglala Lakota Artspace.

12:00-1:00pm Opening Reception of "Cecil Apple Sr. - Art Exhibition"

12:00-4:00pm Art Activities with the Rez Roots Artist Collective (Gift & Take - embroidery & bracelets)
1:00-2:30pm Cultural Presentation with Matthew Shoulders ("Cansasa Ta Wounspe" / Learning about Red Willow)
2:30-3:30pm Music Mixer with Reed Two Bulls (of the "Wake Singers")
3:30-4:00pm Open Mic hosted by Pte San Win Little Whiteman
4:00-5:00pm Wichapi Olowan Music Program presents Performances by Undermars (Rap), Marlene (R&B), Didds (Hip Hop), and 9a (Lakota Pop).Participants will be entered for Door Prizes throughout the event.
