Juliana Brown Eyes, a member of the Oglala Lakota tribe and Polynesian Tongan descent, is a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist. Nominated for a Native American Music Award (NAMMY), she has received several prestigious awards, including the Bill Gates Millennium and Tautai Arts Trust Residency. Her work has been featured in Marie Claire, Huffington Post, BBC, NPR (All Things Considered), and more. A graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts, her film Pehin premiered at the Smithsonian’s Native Cinema Showcase. In 2024, she was a Concept Design Intern at Nike and is currently pursuing an MFA in Film at NYU Tisch.
