Wade Patton

I was born on the Pine Ridge IndianReservation and I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Tribe. My heritage and cultural background inspire my artwork. I utilize traditional nativeimagery and convey it within a more contemporary setting. My artwork has been described as, “….a breath of fresh air in the contemporary native art scene.” I have traveled the country for art residencies, solo/group exhibits, artmarkets, juror of art shows and taught (young and old) different art mediums across South Dakota.
