About

Carly Feddersen was born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington and comes from a long line of creative people. She is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation of Okanogan and Lakes descent. Much of her work emphasizes humor, storytelling, and making connections between her Plateau heritage and interest in alternative culture and self adornment. Feddersen received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM, with a concentration in jewelry. She is a metalsmith, stone carver, traditional basket maker, and also creates works in glass and print. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Native Art in Santa Fe, NM, The School for advanced Research in Santa Fe, NM, the Gochman Collection in New York, NY, the Hallie Ford Museum in Salem, OR, and the Washington State Historical Society in Tacoma, WA.
