Shauna Elk

Shauna Elk is a Dakota and Lakota Winyan. She is a mother of two daughters and a wife. She currently is a middle school Culture and Language teacher. She actively participates in her way of life. She is engaged in her community and gives back as much as possible. As a master artist, Shauna has lead community art classes to teach quillwork and beadwork to youth and adults. Her outreach isn't only her home community or Oyate, but she has traveled to other homelands to teach quillwork to their tribal members.
