Steven Arrowtopknot is a highly accomplished Native American drum maker and song composer from the Blackfeet Nation in Montana. His extensive travels across the United States and Canada have established him as a prominent performer at various social and cultural events. He actively engages in both solo performances and collaborations with different groups, particularly at gatherings and ceremonies throughout North America.

Steven's lifelong passion for Native American music has led him to dedicate the past 15 years to recording and mixing traditional albums for Native American individuals and groups. His talent and contributions have been widely recognized with accolades that include a Grammy nomination in the Regional Roots category, and honors from both the Indigenous Music Awards and the Native American Music Awards. Currently, he is engaged in recording albums for numerous top traditional artists, with much anticipation for new projects releasing in 2024.

Steven Arrowtopknot also serves as the elected Governor of the Northwest Recording Academy and is working to revive the Native American category at the Grammy Awards. Deeply committed to advocating for Native American artists, particularly regarding equal compensation, Steven strives to modernize the genre of Native American music while preserving its traditional roots. His ultimate goal is to ensure this unique art and music form receives the recognition it deserves and continues to thrive, empowering community artists with the knowledge and skills necessary for creating their music.
